Hi guys and Gary. I didn't see Gary's ad for these lips until after I had already ordered mine from an Ebay vendor. I did tons of research before buying. I have a 2006 SL55 with the P30 Pack (SL65 front bumper). After taking measurements I believe the bumpers were identical in dimensions at the bottom portion of the bumpers where this lip would be screwed it. Many vendors stated this will only fit SL55 NOT SL65 but, their pictures show the lip installed on both bumper types. I vendor even stated the only difference is the side vents for oil cooler and the more pronounced "brows" for the fog lights. I think he's correct.
I got the lip last weekend and it seems...at least my example will require some major mods to make it fit with no gap. Can anyone chime in if they have successfully installed this lip on their SL55 P30/SL65 bumper? I know there are may variations in molds from these Taiwanese vendors so I didn't expect a perfect fit w/out some modifications. I really don't want to hack this thing up just to make it fit. The vendor has offered to take it back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. As many have said the lip looks fantastic and want to either keep it or get Gary's product ASAP. I sent Gary a message already. Thanks,

Can you please tell my why? The part # for the SL65 bumper and SL55 P30 Pack (my car) are the same. There is no difference in dimensions at all. I confirmed this with the dealership. I'm sure many members in here can confirm that. The picture you show is an SL65 - that has the same bumper I have on my car. What am I missing?
If the present lip you are selling doesn't fit my SL55 P/30 bumper then you need to change your site pictures and not claim it also fits SL65.
Whose car is that you have on your website? Is is a customer's car or did you grab it from the Web? I'm willing to drive to you from San Diego to do a test fit. I can have my buddy in his SL65 drive up with me because he wants one too. BTW - again we have the same exact bumper. Let me know. Thanks, Sorry if I'm coming across a little frustrated. Thanks,

According to my parts guy, the part #'s for front bumper of a 2006 SL55 w/ P30 and 2006 SL65 are the same. They are physically identical and only a few areas internally are different to fit different hoses. My buddy has a 2006 SL65 and we have parked them nose to nose and took measurements. There is no physical difference. Can you imagine the millions of dollars of tooling Mercedes would have had to do just to make two separate bumpers for a run of 75 total world of P30's? Can I please drive up and try test fitting one so I can lay this to rest?
