I'm working to find the right 07 SL55 and a couple are 2nd owner cars that were CPO cars when they were sold to the 2nd owner. Does the extra year go along with the car when the car is sold to the 3rd owner? Thanks

There is an expiration date on the CPO warranty, the current owner should know what it is, or any dealership would be able to tell you.
If it is at a MB dealership now, it is up to the dealership itself if they want to "CPO" it, meaning run it through the cert process. They can try and tack on the added $, but deal with them to include it they usually do.

an authorized Benz store. MB will can the CPO once the title has touched an independent dealer. Really, the MB CPO warranty isn't all that fabulous a deal anyway. I would want some outside coverage if I was going to be well outside the factory warranty.
