Thanks guys...
Nah... I like the tiny chrom details on a black background. It really looks the way I wanted it to look now.
I'm sorry, but I cannot give you a complete list of the parts. The conversion really is a complex venture that shouldn't be taken on lightly. I required the help of a lot of experts, to get everything done 100% original. Especially all the small parts do cause some headache.
In Germany there are a few vendors who sell complete conversion kits. But AFAIK, these kits are incomplete. They do not come with the correct plugs, missing underbody cover and more stuff missing. You really need someone at MB who knows the R230 inside out, who can help you through that venture.

You would probably need to get a VIN of an 09 SL63/SL65 and take it to your local MB parts department so they can spec out all the parts. Sharkster is right...there are a lot of parts that comes with a complete conversion.
But done right...as in this case...the results can be fantastic.

Your SL55 looks amazing!
I know exactly what you mean about the complexity. My 2010 SL65 conversion wasn't exactly a walk in the park either.

No offence but if a member asks you for some help/info you could at least point him/her in the right direction. Seems like a few of them are interested in this facelift and you wont give anything away...

Actually... I COULD change the interior..., but I'm not a big fan of the extra vents in the headrests. And about the "AMG Drive Unit": True... but fortunately I got the extra torque of the 55 Kompressor engine.
The 63 needs revs to become a beast, while the 55K goes straight from the torque's basement.
The MCT cannot handle the torque the 55K has. That's also the reason why the drive unit (and the MCT) wasn't put into the facelifted SL 65.

Nice! What are the main components that need changing? Front and rear bumper, Front headlights, Front L/R fenders, Grills, hood, misc inner pieces for the inside bumper etc...
