I found SLR mirros for the SL55 at Goekel in Germany for 699 Euros but they do not ship to North America (bummer as this company makes the most extensive accessories/kits/etc...for the SL55 that I have ever seen: http://www.goeckel.de/mercedes_benz_..._exterieur.htm )...I also found a US company that sells it for 1,890 Euros which is a ridiculous price...does anyone else know of any other manufacturer that sells them for a reasonable price? I have seen a few pictures of SLR mirrors on a R230. It really doesn't look good.

Depends on which photos and at what angles you have seen them at. Head on they look pretty spectacular. All a matter of preference, of course! Thanks for the response!
