Please drive it until it gets to full operating temp, before you give it any serious welly!
If you have been driving hard let it tick over for a few minutes when you stop, if not then just switch off. It's as simple as that.
Happy motoring

I love your SL65. I am in the process of purchasing an SL65. Can you tell me about you experience with it and such? Would sending me some more pics be a possibility as well? If not I understand.

Thanks, John

Just to close the loop on my story. I took the car to a local dealer in Belmont, CA (Autobhan motors) and was very happy with the service and even the price was reasonable. It turns out that the previous owner had an after market replacement battery which was a bit too large and likely to hit the hood on a rough road. That in turn caused shorts that almost drained the battery.

Overall the chief mechanic said the car is in great shape and everything else is fine.

@John, try hard to get a low mileage car. Normal maintainence isn't too bad, but those tires and breaks and everything that wears down over time is pricey, so you want to delay as much as possible.

Hi:
Can you share approx. how much the warranty from Mastertech cost? Also, have you had to use the warranty -- and if so, how did you find their service? I am looking to buy an extended warranty and I am not able to find a good provider. Thanks!
