I've been involved with other cars but recently got the itch back to break 200 in the v12
I'll keep ya'll posted but it will not be frequent because I am on a bunch of other car boards and my beautiful wife demands her rightful time.
If anyone is in Atlanta, PM me and we can meet for a drink and chat cars.

Interesting thread. Props to Soulsearcher for his efforts to expand the knowledge of our platform. I did the Texas Mile for the first time in October 2009 with my 996 Turbo. The only mods I had were K24/18g's, injectors, exhaust, and spraying 100% methanol. I also had 250lbs of weight loss mods. I went there expecting to blow through 200mph...Way too windy and only went 195.

Ok I am back. Car was shipped directly from Speedriven to Houston after spending 2 years there. Flying out Thursday from Atlanta to Houston to pick up then heading to Beeville for the Texas Mile. Car had a few things done to it and Dynod at about 770. We will see what happens. Hopefully 200 mph is in my rear view!

Q so they did a few new things to it & it now Dynos @ about 770 whp? Hmm what changed from 5 years ago??? Where you made what sounds like the same to 30 more whp

Final speed was 197.8 mph. Estimated whp on a dynodynamics...probably 780-800...you do the math on a dynojet conversion.

Many kust loose interest, fight illness or financial issue's and since this is the internet and they are the anonymous strangers, none of them will come back and tell you what happened.
To be honest, that's not our business and alone from the fact what this guy tried/ even he failed he is getting from me a ton of enthusiast's point's!
Instead of shouting at him, you should give this man respect, that's the least we can do not having a clue we what kind of situation he had to deal with, to give up such a project, where so much sweatNtears was involved!

However,
Projects like this are above and beyond crazy and take forever to complete. I had a project or two so I know first hand how crazy life gets. Who knows what could of went wrong and if the OP had say life changing events or whatever. However, I would like a update much like yourself.
A little OT but I honestly believe the social media "Pages" and "Forums" help contribute to a loss of real car forums. People make pages and taking members from the real website forums.
