SL65 Advice Needed
Hello all,
I'm looking at an 06 SL55 Black on Black with 30k miles. It has parktronic, 030, keyless go, panoramic roof and warranty until 07/10. The only option it does not have is the distronic.
The asking price is 64k.
Issues I see with the car:
1. It has had 4 different owners in the past 4 years
2. It has been owned in Florida, Texas, Alabama and California
3. From the carfax it has been in an accident. The current owner said only the grill was damaged and replaced, he has pictures. I was present when the car was gone through with a paint reader and the reader indicated the body has not been repainted.
4. From 10 feet away the car looks very clean, from 2 feet away you can see swirl marks, a lot of rock chips in the front. the front air dam scaped from going up driveways, the mesh on the air dam cracked
5 the wooden portion of the steering wheel has cracks. ( i was told this is normal but I think its BS)
The owner is willing to bring the car to a mercedes dealer to have the car inspected.
The current oner says he's selling the car because he bought a new ml63 and needs the space.
The previous 3 owners were:
1. mbs dealer 2. short term lease 3. short term lease
I drove the car yesterday and it drove okay and it seemed like everything worked, but waiting for an inspection before going further with this.
My questions.....
Would any of you even consider a car like this?
If you would consider a car like this how much would you be willing to pay?
If the inspection came back clean what would be a reasonable offer?

if you look hard you mite find it was a flood , always ck the seat bolts,door strikers, look under the rear speaker covers, and look at the blower mtr. you will not always find it on a car fax i restored tons of flood cars in my time also a nother trick is coffee in the the door/1/4 inner pannels
