SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Indicator lense in wing mirror

Indicator lense in wing mirror
noticed on the car that one side has a slight crack in it and therefore has fogged up a bit - looking to replace it.
anyone know how to remove the current one? do i have to get the mirror out first to see inside?

all done, basically unscrew everything inside the mirror once i pulled the glass off, gave it a quick sharp pull away from the car, casing came off, 2 more screws for the indicator lense, stuck the new on in - reverse actions for putting back together - job done 10 mins max!
