Akebono Brake Pad Squeal
I recently installed Akebono ceramic brake pads all around, and am very impressed with the lack of brake dust. However, as I have seen mentioned before, I am getting some brake squeal, from the right front in particular. I believe that I must not have used the "brake paste" properly when I installed them or maybe I have not bedded them in correctly. Can anyone explain how these procedures should have been done?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i called akebono direct to ask about bedding the brake pads. i was told no bedding was required at all.
as for the brake lube it goes on the back of the pads wear they make contact with the caliper.
try filing the leading edge of the pad that squeals just a bit to take some of the shrpness off the pad. this may help.
for me i have no squeal at all with the euros. but a tiny amount of squeal in reverse when backing out of the garage. i replaced my oem rotors with drilled and slotted and all the noise stopped. could be a groove in your rotors
