SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: How big is your turbo...
quite small, maybe Garret T2 size, which would account for no lag and a maximum of 1.3 bar, it would run out of puff over 1.5 bar. Has anyone fitted
bigger turbos to either the 600 or 65. then you could run up to probably 30psi efficiently
On Mercedes V12TT engines, the setup is very particular : The exhaust gas manifold and the turbine wheel housing are casted AS ONE SINGLE PIECE.
Brabus sells an after market manifold/housing, but it's overpriced.
Check the "V12 engine is out" thread by Soulsearcher. He is curently fitting a bigger turbo. A brand new Custom exhaust manifold is fabricated, to allow the turbo to be located deeper in the engine Bay since there is no room for bigger turbos in the Usual place.
