SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: 7 gears automatic transmission?

2007 CL 550
7 gears automatic transmission?
The German auto magazine Auto Motor und Sport reported today that MB will introduce an all new 7 gear automatic transmission in all 8 cylinder equipped S and SL classes. I wonder whether this will involve the SL 55 as well. My guess is that the transmission will remain unchanged, because 1) it is a totally different transmission manufactured by AMG, that has nothing to do with the regular Mercedes one 2) the car has two much torque for a 7 gear transmission.
