Rear seat belts

I for one miss the rear seats fitted to the previous model. Having two kids (aged 4 and 6) it was great on a fine day (like the weekend we just had in the UK) to be able to all get in and have a gentle ride out to a local pub for lunch.

In my old model which did not have the optional rear seats fitted it was simply a case of buying two lapbelts (about 15 UK pounds each) and fitting them - the anchor points where already in place (as there was the rear seat option). Ten minute job and occasional 2+2 use with the kids was a possibility.

Not sure this is the case with the new model. Anyone investigated or know if there are seat belt anchor points under the rear (seats!).

I do not think it is possible, since the new SL is a two passenger car. If you were to carry people (at least in Switzerland) you would not be insured.

Furthermore there is absolutelly no legroom behind the front seats unless the two front passengers are very short.

I agree and this was one of the reasons why I have kept my old W107 SL 350. There is even more leg room in the back than in the W129.
