Hi Guys:

Couple of weeks ago I was having a bunch of warning lights (CEL, SRS, Conv Features Inop...). Anyway, rear battery was replaced last week and all was well. Or so I thought.

Drove the car yesterday out to middle of state for meeting and back. And it ran great.

Then I went to drive it home from from the office and about 10 minutes into the drive it threw up the CEL.

The car has no noticeable issues, but clearly something is setting this thing off and it is PISSING ME OFF! (the RT stage 1 was installed about 6 weeks ago)

Any suggestions would be great.

SRQLAW...I used to have a lot of CEL's pop up (after my VRP VR700 tune) and it usually happened when I got "bad gas" (ex. from a convenience store gas pump)...I can't really definitively say that this was the cause but I never got a CEL when I put in Mobil/Shell gas.

Have you gotten someone to identify the CEL? I hope you find out the problem because I know that warning light gets annoying.

Funny, I just put gas in the car yesterday mornings (I had to go to Arcadia... so when travelling out in the wild, I prefer a full tank). I am going to run it to the dealer to the get it scanned. Also, I almost always fill up at the same Shell near my house, but it could be.

Hopefully, AMGfan has nailed it on the gas. I have been running an RT tune for 2 years. Never one CEL. I always run Shell 93 or Sunoco 94.

Dealer mentioned it may be been some "random" emission code which apparently they see from time to time. As long as it is NOT flashing and goes way after a day or so - it is usually "nothing"

Not exactly what I wanted to hear - but we will see what the scan shows.
