moved the scangauge to the co-pilot side today. ran the cable under the dash which was not easy due to mercedes' generous use of screws and very tight tolerances. did a test run with my rally partner and gotta say it makes it much more fun as the passenger is not just dead weight anymore and i can focus on driving and not look down. boost readings topped out at around 27psi but not sure if i have to subtract 14.5psi for ambient. anyone know?

wow that thing is gorgeous! Why the long wait?? Is that normal or did you have extra custom stuff done on the wheel??

nope, i ordered from DCT Motorsports who came highly recommended from this forum. they said it'd take 5 weeks! they said they had trouble with the people who do the CF work and then the guy who does the paddle conversion went to vegas to gamble on the world cup. no joke. who knows?

anyway, i like the final product but the wait was excrutiating. i'm still waiting for the CF shift knob and the whole order was made on 3/17/2010

wheel installed!!

finally. took it for a shakedown today and it's SO much better than the button shifter! the shift knob is on it's way as well.

this week the HRE's will be freighted to Wheels Boutique in Miami (they're sponsors here). they're gonna sell em for me and then sell me the ADV7.1s.
if anyone's interested you can contact them:

finally sold the HREs today so i just placed an order for the Adv 7.1 in a matte silver finish. those take 3-4 weeks. i also ordered the stainless tubing needed to delete the cats and resonators which should arrive next week.

finally, on saturday i got a guy coming in to do the 3M clear film on the car.

all in all it looks like i'm finally gonna be wrapping up the build (for now) pretty soon

i'll post pix of the above mentioned jobs asap

Did you detail or repaint the hood and bumper before clear bra? I'm thinking about doing this as well but I have some rock chips that I need to get rid of before that.
