New Continental ContiSportContact 5Ps

Just wanted to share my experience so far with these new tyres. Replaced the existing bridgestone potenzas that were OEM and had tread separation in the right rear tire (don't even get me started about bridgestone). They are just out since March, so not many places have access to them yet (I ordered mine from Tire Rack).

Without berating the old tires any more, I'll just say these new conti's are everything that I had heard/read. FAR, far exceeded my expectations. They have terrific grip and the road noise is significantly less. I can see why MB is now running them on many AMG vehicles (like the SLS)...

That's funny, mine had Pirelli, and the rear have a specal ridge in the centre to stop the tyre deforming, apparently MB worked with Pirelli on them.
I changed to Mich PS2 and they were awful, the back end wiggled around so I put the Pirelli back on. However Conti's are a favorite tyre of mine.

My SL55 came with those Conti's on it and after 2k miles of "spirited" driving in wet and dry conditions, I'm impressed so far. Proper load and speed rating for our full body cars. If they wear well, i'll put a set on my"wife's" RS6.

I have these on my c63 from factory, I'm very impressed with the grip and the control of the car. I have not drive the car hard, as Im still running in the engine, once its over I will find out more about these tyres.
