Going to buy an 05
I'm going to be buying an 05 SL55 next month.
I plan on spending about 40k. Guessing the car will have about 30k miles.
I'm sure I won't be able to find the specific SL55 I want locally. So, I will be using the internet to find my car.
Can you guys recommend the best way(s) for me to do such a long distance transaction?
Guessing I should always fly out to see the car in person?
Escrow?
I see they have car inpection services that look reasonable in costs. Anyone used one?
Should I always take the car to the closest Mercedes dealership and have an inspection and pull the service records? Or is carfax enough?
