Drag Racing an SL55...

13.2 @ 107mph at lousy high altitude Palmdale. Should go mid 12s @ 110+ at a good track. Surprised not to find this post here. Here is more info.

Is it horrible? At high altitude and with not much grip, that sounds about right for the SL55.

If memory serves you need to add about 0.15 per 1000 feet. That would bring it to about 12.7 in the 1/4 mile.

At higher altitude you lose horsepower, which results in slower acceleration, slower 1/4 mile times, and slower top speeds as well.
