Do I need to trickle?

Looks like I'm going to be driving my SL55 mostly on weekends - maybe take it to work once or twice during the week...maybe.

Do I need to trickle charge my battery - if so just the one battery?

I don't think there will be any issue with the schedule you suggest. Leaving it sit for more than 2 or 3 weeks is where a float charger is a good idea.

Of course, this assumes you don't have any parasitic drain on the battery. In a car that's being driven daily this condition may not be noticed since one overnight discharge is not enough to show symptoms. But it's not common so I wouldn't worry. If you worry easily, then pick up a float charger at Harbor Freight for about $12 or the one at the dealer for about $

If you drive it on a regular base, say once a week, you should not have any problem at all. And by 'driving' I mean driving to give the battery time to get fully charged. If on occasion you then leave it for 2 or 3 weeks non-driven, it will start without a problem, just the first 5 minutes you will see and have 'ELECTRIC CONSUMERS OFF'. Just do what the car is build for : drive it !
