It really depends on the design and color accents in the wheel. Have a picture of the wheels you're talking about?

On my five spoke...I did it because the face is a satin finish. I think it looks better and does hide the dirt a lot better.

I say do it if you're gonna do any kind of black accents on the wheels. With the matte black accents and matte black connecting hardware on mine, I should've done it.

if you do that might as well do the windows outlining the spoke faces as well. that would give the apprearance of a larger wheel to the naked eye if the outers remained polished or a bright color, like silver or brushed aluminum w/ clearcoat.
