Lowering links, ECU tune, and extended warranties - void issues?

I'm new to these forums as I've just decided on purchasing a SL55 (the hunt begins). Your posts have all been so helpful! I really love the look of the SL55 with lowering links and many recommend ECU tuning. One of the other major recommendations I see is getting an extended warranty. I tried to search the forums but couldn't find an answer to my question about the combination of these three: Will the warranty be voided when adding these mods? Thanks!

Alot is going to depend on the dealer you take it to. Some are friendly to enthuisasts and some are hostile. You should go talk to your dealer. The links would effect the abc system and the sensors, so if there was a problem they would blame the links. The ecu mods would also have to have a smaller pulley so it would be an obvious performance mod and would be blamed for engine failures.
Most people who buy these expensive high performance cars know what risks they are taking by pushing them to the limits and dont worry much about the trouble that might cause.

I can only speak to the ECU tuning that we do. My software writers bind all of your original identifying information to our performance programming, which keeps it invisible to the dealers. My car has had multiple versions of software and the dealer has never said anything..... other than the tech said that it was the strongest running SL55 he had driven. We have also never had a client lose their warranty from our ECU work.

Actually, if we do pulleys, the crank pulley is bigger than stock, not a smaller SC pulley.

Pulleys (larger crank) and tune is a common first upgrade. I've always wondered why we don't do smaller SC pulley on these cars vs a larger crank pulley for gains...?
