You'd need to upgrade the electronics, at a minimum. The Kleemann supercharger would be a vastly easier upgrade since it was designed for naturally aspirated Benzes.

Sell yours and buy an SL55 and save yourself some grief. You would be forever sorting it out. Also I bet the transmissions are different. You would figure that out after you broke a few. Then there is the brakes. If you like the plushness of the SL500 then maybe an SL600.

+1 On that, I was thinking about doing the same when I had a 996 Porsche but after some research it was alot cheaper just selling it for an 996tt. Especialy when it comes to selling it. You never get the monies back after modding.

It can be done but a reflashed ECU by one of tuning companies would be required...

I have a MB SL55/E55 Supercharger with upper pulley that was a warranty take off in 2005 because of the chirp with very low miles . It is still in the factory crate they are 8,900 at the dealer... Asking $2,900 plus shipping...

question has your chirping ever returned on the new unit? I have that annoying chirp on mine but Ive been to 2 different dealers and one said its common and as long as you hear it you know that its engaging ..go figure. And the other said from experience of changing them some have had problems later down the road. I have an aftermarket warranty and trying to figure if its worth going after replacement.
