Where to buy new door sill covers
I have a 2007 SL55 and the drivers door sill cover in chrome is really scuffed badly, tried to buff it out, not possible, where is the best place to buy new ones at a reasonable price? Thanks

they are stainless and should buff or sand with 2000. But if you cant fix em, call Joey at Hendricks Mercedes. He gives 15%

My next step is the sandpaper, just worried some defects are so deep, not from me, but the previous owner. I will tape off a section and see how I do, thanks for the help.

Must be different in the 55. In my 550, they are plastic. I bought mine used with 12k miles and they were scuffed. Made the dealer replace them and they put OEM parts on. They are scuffed again. Why do you build a 100k plus car and put plastic parts in an area you know takes a lot of traffic. Penny wise and pound foolish by MB.

I had not considered asking the dealer, it's worth a try, I'm sure its a wear and tear item but no harm trying. Thanks for the input. I'm hoping if I have to get new ones they will come with a plastic wrap on it and I will probably keep this on to protect it.
