I had a bubble in an pirelli pzero on my clk. The solution is simple. You do not go to the dealer where they will charge you $400. You go to a repair shop, and they put your car on the same lift that a dealer has, and they too, can take the tire off, change it, and balance it with the same equipment your dealer has.
So you might ask yourself what the difference is. The difference, is that the whole job will cost you 250 instead of 400

2002 S430, 2001 ML 55, SL 55 on order
i just put on my summer tires on my s430 the other day and found that there was a bubble in the side. the dealer told me that there was nothing they could do as the car is 14 mths old and tires are warranteed for only 1 year. i went to see a dunlop dealer and they replaced it free saying that there is no time limit, only tread depth. so much for mercedes service.
