A little help on my project...

Hello,

I'm a somewhat new SL55 owner, and as a lot of other people; I have a touch of the upgrade bug.

I am having my resonators taken out right now, and continue to sit and ponder my next moves.

I have seen a couple times that the top recommendation is a pulley kit for the best gains. I will probably go for that next. I like the looks of the VRP pulley kit, and it seems to be a good price. Any thoughts?

Then I'm a little at a loss to do throttle body kit or headers next. Which is more limiting stock; intake or exhaust? Any recommendations for best TB kit?

VRP headers or Evosport headers? Evosport design looks more effective to me; but at $1000 more, are they worth it? Will I get much out of that if I don't modify the exhaust (other than deleting resonators and maybe one of the sets of cats)?

And then, on top and in the middle of all of this; Dyno tune or ECU kit?

Dude you're going to find all kinds of opinions on brands here...I would do a forum search or lurk onto some of the big product threads. Everyone has their own opinion. As for strategy...on a 55 motor pulley and tune is a great start - after that you get into the breathing of the engine ...intakes, exhausts, headers etc...
