Good day everyone. I am looking for you to let me know what are the common issues I can expect on my 03' SL55 if I keep it? I believe the IC pump, ABC, etc are all issues but what in specifics as I am going to have my mechanic check all known issues and make sure the cars is ok prior to it going out of warranty.
INformation will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to have him check the suspension arms - the engine mounts - the ball joints for the suspension as well - check the transmission (most importantly the clutch) check for leaks on all hoses - Air conditioner - check the whole Vario roof for lose bolts or screws / motor functions (timing of the vario roof from open to close/close to open). Thats about all the things I can think of that would hurt the wallet hard.

In the 7 years I have had my SL55, I have had to replace the tire pressure monitors (4), the AC compressor, motor mounts, an IC pump and a secondary air pump.
Other that routine service, that's it. I also make sure that I service the fluids in the trans, cooling and ABC systems.
Considering how many different versions of our software and tuning options we have tested on my car, it has been bullet proof.

Top things to inspect.
Transmission Mount, Electrical Connector to Transmission, Secondary Air Pump, Intercooler Pump, Dual Pully Idler Bearings, Gas Shocks on the trunk lid, Window Glass Adjustments=No air noises at speed. Double check the ABC Fluid. It should be almost clear with green tinge in color. If its dirty have it flused and filters replaced.
Good Luck
