SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Is my dumb Key really inside???

Is my dumb Key really inside???
Keyless go experts...I somehow think my key is inside the car and lost.
I can drive the car without the key ( on accident) and the car never said key not detected or check battery.
When I go to press the door handle button with my key in my pocket car says ..key still in vehicle.
I am somehow convinced the key is somewhere inside, and have done everything to look for it and nothing..this key is also on a lowjack module so its pretty bulky and figured I'd see it sooner or later.
Any nooks or crannies I can check? I've looked practically everywhere, or is it somehow an error on the computer?

Any secret nooks and crannies anyone can think of??
Mine is an 05 so no card needed. I dont think anyone can just walk up I tried it and it just doesnt unlock unless the key is right next to it or I press the remote button.
