2017 AMG GTS
2004 SL55/ 2007 SL55 030 package
From trading up to the 07 SL, i noticed that when i manually shift the car it doesnt automatically shift like the 2004 did. Does anybody know why this is?? does it have anything to do with the Performance package.

It's just a software change. Enough people complained about the car shifting too soon, that some changes were made that allowed the car to hold gear better. Your car may also have some aftermarket programming as well. TCU software updates are very popular, just for that reason.
