Help on a Couple Things
I've got a couple frustrating problems that I thought you all may have answers to. These are relevant to a 2003 SL55.
First is the windshield washer pump. The pump unit works fine, but it will not energize with the lever. When I pulled the pump out and used 12 volts on it, its fine. But when its in place and activated by the lever, nothing. Obviously I'm not getting power to it, but I don't see a fuse listed for it. Any suggestions?
Second is the nav CD. The player in the dash will not accept the CD. When you try and install it, you can push it until you can't slide it in anymore and the unit never sucks it in. Everything else on the unit works fine. I thought about putting the CD into the multi disk changer, but I don't know if the unit will read it. Any thoughts?

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
two problems that from experience with many other cars have an obvious answer, most likley, the steering wheel switch is bad-have to replace the whole switch.
and the cd player is bad-have to send to a repair shop to install whole mechanism or buy a used radio on ebay or junk yard

unfortunately, there is no power at the pump. Switch on the column may be o.k. because it will activate the wipers when you press the washer lever. It just does not energize the washer pump.
