2005 SL600 OETuning ECU
ESP
So I tried to turn off the ESP on my 05 SL600 to check out my tuning program. The light on the dash comes on to show that the program is off.
I nail the accelerator and the dash light starts blinking on and off just as if the program was still on.
Does the program turn itself back on and override the off button if it senses too much of a loss of traction?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Turning ESP off only reduces the amount of computer intervention, it doesn't prevent it.
If you really want to get wild, the car will need to be put into 'dyno mode'. However, keep in mind you will also be disabling ALL electro-nannies, including ABS. So, you better be awake. The burnout in my signature was done in dyno mode, at a racetrack. I would never use dyno mode on the street, but that's just me.
