interesting... i have always had very good experience with my local mb dealership. always have been very upfront and my technical expertise have always confirmed their findings and work done on my mercedeses.
find a service adviser that you can work with and develop a relationship. they are only humans.
yes, servicing an mb (or any other german car for that matter) out of warranty is expensive. but.. it was never meant to be cheap.
