New member: SL63 and 500 question
New to the forum. Based in UK and condsidering an SL63 or 500 as a daily driver. Wondered what your thoughts were of these 2 cars for that purpose, given the poor conditions of our roads. I am concerned about around town driving and stiff suspension setup.

Both are torquey engines, so around twon both will be perfect. For sure the 63 ABC setup is stiffer than the 500 setup, but it remains an ABC system so even with Brit roads it's perfectly drivable.
The 63 has an awesome sound that you won't find in the 500. The SL63 is often considered has one of the sportiest Mercedes, and Everybody agrees that's is a very well engineered car.
The 500 is perfect if you enjoy cruising under the sun (Well... The 3 sunny days per year you have in UK)

As far as daily drivers go, I think you would find either to be very enjoyable DD. The 63 has the most incredible exhaust note.
I use my SL55 as a daily for about 6 months a year. When I do, the best part of my work day is driving to work and driving home.

a little jerky when stone cold for about 20 seconds. I believe there was
an issue but as long as you have warranty your OK.
The weather here is getting better so the roofs been down, revealing even
more of that beautiful exhaust note. You won't regret buying it

Ditto the above, 9K miles of smiles on mine. The 63 is a fine blend of speed, handling and comfort...and like many above, has an incredible sound.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

who has heard the 63 says it's the best sound they have ever heard. Even
some friends of mine that run an Audi tuners who fit Miltech exhausts on
R8 and many others say that Mercedes got it spot on.
