2008 C63 ,2009 SL 63 AMG, 2011 SLS AMG

TPM, SL 63

Hi folks,

I have a quick question. I would like to know if anybody can give me some info on this. I have an SL63 AMG. My front left wheel sensor needs to be replaced. I currently have the yello tire pressure Icon popped up at my screen. The question is, can I just replace the wheel sensor and reset the system for the new sensor to be identified? or do I need to take it to the dealer? do they have to program the new sensor ID in TPC for it to be identified?

2009 should still be under 4/50,000 warranty.

Take it to the dealer for repair.

I already did. but they couldnt do anything, because my car is a US spec (shipped from the usa) and the software that the dealer is using is for gulf spec cars.

Finally did it

Ok, here is what I did. I changed the wheel sensor.I Turned the ignition on withouth turning the engine on. I restarted the tire pressure monitor system from the dashboard, then I waited for five second and turned the ignition off. I then turned the engine on. The Tire pressure signal was still popped up on my dashboard. I drove for about five minutes, and the signal was automatically switched off, as the new sensor was read by the TPC.

I am happy NOW
