LOOKING TO JOIN THE CLUB
I have made the decision to sell my beloved M3 and move into something more luxurious, but with the same sense of speed and performance. I test drove the SL500, 550 and then the SL55AMG, and of course, there was no hesitation that I wanted the 55.
I started doing my research and lurking on this board and I found an old thread where a Forum member just asked if anyone was selling a car, and he got a great response. I have found that people who participate in online Forums generally are individuals who truly love and respect their cars, so there is no better group to buy from.
So guys, I’m looking for an SL55, 2004 to 2008. Low miles, White or Silver only, Pano roof and I have 40 to 50K to spend. I live in Atlanta, but would be willing to travel to find the right car.
If any of you have any suggestion, leads or contacts, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Brad

Brad,
I came from owning 3 E46 M3's into a SL55 as well. The power and torque of the SL is unbelievable compared to the M. I live in Atlanta as well and have a 05 Silver SL55 I may be willing to sell if the price is right. The only option it doesnt have is Pano Roof. Let me know if you're interested

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Just FYI,
There are several cars for sale on Autotrader that are in our area that meet your description. Problem is that most of these folks haven't gotten the message about the real dollar values of 03/4/5 cars, and the prices just don't make sense. There are probably no less than 10 cars within 300 miles of your zipcode that have just been sitting on Autotrader now for months, doing nothing. These people keep saying "oh, they're doing xxxx", but the reality is, they are not (that's why they are still for sale). It is a great car to drive, can be scary to fix, but do your homework and make sure you've got someone who can see about it, and a good parts connection Good luck in your search, I've been pretty frustrated by it in the last couple months.
