That is a splendid offer. I would be supremely grateful to get a quick ride in an SL55 in Munich on my next trip there. I was born in Germany, (Leipzig) but have been living in Canada for a long time.
For my next trip to Germany I was thinking about renting an SL500 from a small place in Dresden next time... but the only problem is that I would be travelling with wife and 2 young children... now where do I put the kids while I drive the SL hehehe...
I would most definitely be very, VERY thrilled to visit a few AMGs in the Munich area.
Cheers,
Rob

BTW, every major car-rental agency in Germany (AVIS, sixt,...) offers the SL 350/500.

Brabus- This is true
I was reading this post yesterday, and today Brabus calls me up and wants to know if I want to get this car because a sale of one fell through, they gave me a price of $200,000. Is it worth it???

200K dollars! MY ***.
BUY THE CAR BUDDY, AND LEMME SEE THE INVOICE, 200K IS NOTHING FOR SUCH A MAGNIFICENT CAR, AND LET ALONE, ONE WITH 1360HP! HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU MAKE A CAR THAT POWERFUL AND STILL MAKE SURE ITS WARRANTIED FOR THREE YEARS? THE CL65 BLEW ITS TRANSMISSION DUE TO ITS "MEASLY" 612HP OR SO." THATS WHY A NEW MORE POWERFUL TRANSMISSION IS BEING DEVELOPED FOR FUTURE CARS.
THEY ARE EVEN MAKING A 6 SPEED AUTO FORM TEH ORIGINAL MAYBACH TRANNY TO MAKE THE S65 COPE WITH IT, 1360HP, INSANE, SIMPLY INSANE...BUT WELL WORTH IT, 200K DOLLARS HAS TO BE THE BIGGEST BARGAIN FOR ANY MERCEDES IN HISTORY!
(PS, NOT SHOUTING, JUST CANTY BE ASSED TYPING IN LOWER CASE)

Bought
Well, I bought it, they are going to fax me an invoice, tommorow, one of the managers at Brabus Germany told me it should take 2 months due too that the deal fell through during mid-consruction. The day it arrives in August, there will be a Brabus rep from Germany to teach me how to maintain it, and just to tell you it was 200,000 Euros, My fault. Still a good price? I hope so because I put it on my Centurion

Dear Sir/madam,
I recently came across this link which shows an undeniably powerful Brabus SL7.3 V12 TT with 1360HP.
http://www.will-andreas.de/index_de....d=236&bildnr=1
Can you confirm that such a car exists?
Best regards,
Bilal Siddiqui

i think 200k euros is too much. what brabus does is just modify an SL500, they probably get it from mercedes without an engine so its much cheaper. the old 7.3 v12 engine only cost US$42,000. then the exterior parts will cost about $13,000 and the interior (the red piping you mentioned) should only cost a couple thousand to do. IF it was a full brabus mastik leather interior it would cost about $15,000 to do.
200,000 euros is about 237,000 USD. if you were to buy a new SL and modify it with all those parts it would only cost you a little over $160,000 USD. even Brabus North America was selling the SL 6.1 for $165,000, and that was overpriced. a consumer buying straight from Brabus will get robbed blind. not only will they charge you full retail price for the parts, they will charge you atleast double for installation. the only part that needs to be installed by Brabus is the engine.

why don't you just get someone to fax it to bilal for you? i'm sure you have people everywhere who run your errands for you. in fact, just have one of them buy a damn scanner and scan it onto the web.

Just leave it man, i couldn;t care less anymore. The guy has not been on for some time since these posts. there are like a million people on this board with Ferrari's Porsche and benz's. i just couldn't care anymore. I still think this car is not real. If it is, then it will last for 1000 miles tops, and then BLOW UP!

SORRY DUDE, but there are loads of billionares in this world and trust me when i say that the majority are not from the middle east!! They are from the countries feasting on middle eastern resources!!

Hi, I know this is a very old topic, but I have just returned from Pueto Banus, Marbella and have some info you may find interesting.
I regularly visit this area as I have a home there and in the Puerto Banus area it seems that every other car is a Merc SL. However, when I was there this time I spotted an SL in black which was badged up 'SL7'. I made sure I did a double take because I had never seen this model before and didn't know that it existed.
I have tried searching the internet for some information on a Mercedes SL7 and this was this only link I could find.
The car didn't appear to look very different to a standard SL55 AMG but the badge clearly was.
It is quite ironic that this link says the original car was ordered by a Saudi oil shiek as that area of Spain is constantly visited by many of them and the port is always full of many of the largest private yachts in the world.
Make of this what you will ! I'm not saying that the car was indeed spec'd like it has been listed on this forum, but I can confirm that I have personally witnessed a Mercedes SL '7' and I don't think anyone had changed the badge as a joke !!!
