SL55 AMG, srs-faulty, I think it was faultcode B1859, "the resistans in circuit B12/13 in main air bag driver is to high???.... I didn`t remember the message from the Star Diagnose exactualy, and now the ignition is off.. We have change the air bag to a new one, but no, the same fault code is still there. And sadly we don`t hve the equipment cables to test the wiring in the system... So can you guys plesase help me??? It has to be finish tomorrow :/ Regards Trond, Oslo, Norway...

Possibly bad connectors instead of the airbag itself? I would double check to make sure all contact points are clean and not bent before replacing any parts.

It has something to do with the wiring and connectors under the passenger seat. There is an updated or corrected harness from the factory.

+1 I had this very issue on my 03 SL55. The passenger seat wiring harness had to be replaced.

That is....

absolutely correct. Just had it done on my 03 before I sold it. I't s not very expensive, you may want to do both sides as a preemptive move.

I've replaced those very connectors in my car, and I believe those threw an entirely different code. I'll check to make sure.

I can't seem to find the fault codes for the connectors under the seats being out and unfortunately I don't have my service DVD handy. IIRC, there was a code for both passenger and drivers side sonnectors and Im pretty sure the description said something about a squib and it specifically mentioned the seats, which leads me to believe the OP is having a different issue.

Do you know the part # for the harness, I’m having the same codes come up.
