SL65, dead throttle for 2-3 seconds
I've had my 2009 SL65 for two weeks now. I've noticed an issue with the throttle that has me concerned. It happens when I'm coasting along in city traffic around 30-40mph. When I press the throttle to accelerate the engine doesn't change RPM for what feels like 2-3 seconds. Then it suddenly kicks in and lurches forward. The problem is intermittent. 4-5 times in the two weeks I've owned the car. I'm pretty sure that each time the transmission was in sport mode. Never a problem from a stop or while at highway speeds. Only while coasting 30-40pmh with my foot off the throttle.
Its acting as if the TPS is not working. Has anybody else experienced this? I'm going to call my SA at the dealer. But I'm not sure what they will do for an intermittent problem like this.

if they can reproduce it they will inspect/clean/replace your throttle body motor assembly...
if they cannot repro and there are no codes they will send you home.
mb wants to see every failed part. this is a directive. if they cannot prove a part is bad they will not replace it.
