Keyless vs. Key problem?

Just received my '03 SL55. I know this model/year is riddled with issues but it has all the options and I got a (very) good deal on it.

The car seems to be working perfectly when I start it with the smartkey, no issues whatsoever. But when I use the Keyless-Go (a creditcard-like card in the 03 model) the SRS light stays on and my windshield wipers don't work...

Starting it with the key again and everything works as it should.

Anyone had this before? Any ideas how to resolve this?

This is truly a new one at least for me. I have an 03 with the credit card key fob thingy and have no issues. I actually like the fact the key is just in my wallet. I know the big deal is if keyless fails, we are screwed.

There is a very common SRS problem related to resistance levels in the seats. Many of us have had the harness replaced to correct the SRS light.

Please pass on any additional information related to your issue and hopefully someone will be able to help you out.

Sounds kind of strange. The only thing I'm thinking is you may have a main battery problem. When they start to fail all kinds of wacky stuff can happen .
