2005 SL55 VBelt and Transmission Service
I have a 2005 SL55 approaching 40,000 miles. The dealer has indicated that the car is due for V belt replacement (approx. $300) and Transmission oil and filter replacement (approx. $375). Are these both necessary and are the prices appropriate? It seems like the Vbelt is a bit too low and the transmission fluid is a bit too high. I know the service schedule indicates v belt replacement; but I haven't found any information regarding a schedule for transmission oil and filter replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
