CLS 55 to SL65

Well, it's been ages since I've posted but I do visit nearly everyday.
Anyway, here's the deal. I presently own a CLS55 and have a chance to pick up an 06 SL65. I have a buyer for the 55.
I live in North Dakota but my brother is visiting out in the Portland, OR, area and ran across an 06 SL65 at a Benz dealer. Car is black/charcoal, 35,000 miles, one-owner with one-year CPO. All options except keyless go and pano roof. Cosmetically, the car is wonderful. They have it listed for $69,000.
I think the price may be just a tad high. Checked the Car Fax history and it seems to have had a couple of electrical gremlins addressed, i.e. computer module replaced, etc.
However, I'm going to have them pull the service history and fax it to me. Want to check for deferred maintenance, etc. Anything I should be on the lookout for?
Assuming the car checks out, I was thinking of offering $55,000.
Too little? Too much or just right?
Any input would be much appreciated as my brother is heading back to ND Sunday and would drive it back if I pull the trigger.
Thanks in advance.

That may be a little light for an '06.

I can put an '05 w/47K miles in you driveway for $55K. Black/black

If that is of any interest let me know.

You can try for $55k but I think more than likely you will end up @ $60k. I am not sure the blue book on an 06 these days. I love my 06...I'm looking at it now in the parking lot of a McDonalds (I'm waiting for my lazy *** foursome to show up for golf) and I'm smiling...it drives SOOOO smooth with effortless power and torque.

One of the best cars I've ever driven...not a track car...or one you can throw around...BUT as a rocket ship GT car that converts into a convertible at a push of a lever...NOTHING beats it.

G/L...

Jon

Unless you know somebody at the dealership they will not print you the service records. They might read or show them to you, but you can't have them.

An 06 with no keylessgo is useless in my mind. offer them 55 dig in at 57.5 and walk away if they don't agree. No 06 is a 60k car unless with 10k miles.

Thanks for the input.
Got the service history and records.
Service history shows the dealership performed $5,300 worth of service in July 2009 and $2,800 June 14.
The first large service was when the car was cpo'd the first time in 2009.
The June 14 service was the CPO.
At that time they did the following:
The oil was changed
New fuel filler cap
Brake system flush
Brake fluid
Replace air filter
Replace spark plugs
Replace ventilation filter
Replace tire fir due to age
Transmission service (oil filter, elastomer, seal ring, lock pin, etc.)
Replace first aid kit

In Oct. 2009 the following services were reported:
Battery cable replace
Computer module replace
Electrical system checked'Engine/powertrain computer module checked.

Service history shows the car has been to the dealership 11 times since July 2009 and about $10,000 worth of work was done.

Question is...should I be worried about the reliability of this car?
On the other hand, it looks like they've gone through the car and it would seem to be pretty-well sorted out.

Any thoughts on all this?
By the way, although the car does lack keyless go, it does have distronic and parktronic, black ash wood alcantara headliner and sat radio

Thanks for your help
