hardtop problem

This morning I hit a bump and the roll bar deployed while the top was down. When I got home, I started to put the top up It stopped half way and now neither the hard top or rollbar will go down. I have read on how to reset the rollbar and tried. When I push the hardtop button the switch blinks red, and the rollbar does not make the racheting noise or any noise. I need help troubleshooting the issue. Do you guys think the only solution is to have a tech come look at it?

You may need to have the STAR system hooked up to reset it.

Dino is probabaly right. But before you do that, unhook the rear battery for 30 minutes, reconnect and then try to reset the roll bar. To do that, select the roll bar "up" button for 10 seconds or so. And see if the roll bar motor mechanism 'syncs' back up with the roll bar.

If not, SDS is gonna be your fix.

rollbar issue

Something similar just happened to me the other day. Hit a bump with the top down and roll bar went up. Wouldn't go down or anything though. I could hear the gears working, but no movement of the rollbar. So I pulled over and put the roof up and down and then just pushed the rollbar down button and forced it down with my other arm. Pain in the ***, but it went down and have had no other issue. Never a dull moment with these vehicles.

Try holding the up-button for the roll bar for 20-30 seconds, then try the down-button.
