How do I remove these??? (Pic Inside)

Sorry but I do not know the exact name of what these are called I saw someone on here post a picture of these painted calling them AIR TANKS, but was not sure if that is the correct name. I need help knowing how I would remove these? Is there a DIY anywhere on the FORUM or did someone remove these before that can fill me in on how it is done? Seems like I only remove the bolts from the top but I'm not exacly sure.

I'm removing these to powder coat them BLACK. This is the reason for removal.

Thanks for the help

surge tanks lol.

you would have better luck asking in the W211 AMG forum, those guys remove surge tanks like they're air filters.

Yes, you just remove the top torx bolts. Not much to it.

Use caution when reinstalling...the torque spec is pretty low...let me see if I can dig up the number....

JMF003 thank man I appriciate that very much. Is it hard to remove the supercharger I just need the top of it if its not too hard I will attempt it if it is I rather leave it be. I can get the new gaskets at any MB dealer right?

Yes, any reasonably-stocked MB dealer should have gaskets.

You'll need to deal with the coolant lines if you remove your supercharger. I've never fully removed mine...only unbolted and rebolted it to install phenolic spacers.
