SL Side Panel / Door Chrome or Metal Fins
Gentlemen,
I am desperately looking for a part that I had installed on my previous SL55. It was these long chrome side fins that were on each side of the car, extending all the way to a small part of each door. I saw someone (the only other SL I ever saw) have them on this picture thread back in 04/05 and had to have them. They were purchased from a guy named Daniel Ouaknine
at PerformanceProducts.com who specialty ordered them from some company in Germany ($469). I tried to get a hold of Daniel, but he no longer works at Performance, and that company has gone through an overahaul. No one there knows what the hell i'm talking about and they dont seem to have a clue.
These chrome fins were really sharp looking and really made the car unique. Enclosed is a link to pics that show the part and the car I just sold.
I'm looking to get back into another, newer SL55 and will need to get them again.
Any suggestions, help on reaching Daniel, or the name of tha company in Germany that has them would be awesome!

Just sent them an email. Hopefully they speak English, I'm assuming they would. I was told at one point these were availalbe in metal, and now only chrome plastic. Either will work.

obviously your search capabilities are signifcantley better then mine. I've been trying to find these for days. Seems like the price is higher on these then i recall. I paid $469 for them three years ago. Beggars can't be chosers though.
