Kleemann Headers and o2 Sensors
Hi all, I hope you guys can help. can you tell me which is the best to do when installing Kleemann Headers on my SL55 AMG.
With regards to the sensor after the Cat, is it recommended to relocate them after the secondary cats or delete via ECU Remap? I think I would prefer to keep them as I think it would cause the car to run better due to fuel mixture monitoring or am I wrong? I spoke to Kleemans in Denmark and they suggested that I could leave the sensor connected to the loom, but strap it to the gearbox to prevent it from hanging, he also said that it does not serve much purpose other than to check that the cat is working. is this correct?
My next question is, which is the best cats to delete, primary or secondary? My Kleemann Headers come with a Cat delete pipe, but apparently I don't have to use them if i want to keep the cats. I was told by my Exhaust specialist that I should not use the Cat delete pipe and keep the primary cats in place when installing the Kleemann headers but remove the secondary ones!!! the reason for this he said is to keep the back pressure, he said if I remove the primary headers It would possibly increase the HP but I would loose back pressure and thus loose torque! is the also true?
Kleemann say, remove the primary cats as they are more restrictive!
After installing the headers, do I need to have a remap in order to get a increase in power or is the map only to turn of the engine light?
In Europe Kleemann want $1,145.00 plus tax for a ECU Remap, he claims around 35 HP alone, just from that map and nothing else (excluding headers) surely this cant be Right!!!!
Thank you in advance.

Keep the rear o2 sensors. Then when tuning turn them off. Don't take them out or uninstall them, just turn them off.

Any more input regarding my other questions?
1. any more power gained from ecu flash (re map) Brabus pulley map already done
2. Is more power gained by replacing primary cats or secondary ones?
3. Do you loose torque if you remove cats due to back pressure? and if so which ones loose least when removed (primary or secondary)
Thanks.

By doing the ECU tune, can it turn off the check engine light?
Thanks
