Can I install 265/35ZR19 front, 295/30ZR19 rear

Its time for new tires. I'd like to try the Michilen Pilot Super Sports but they don't come in the stock 255/35ZR19 and 285/30ZR19 combination. They are available at 265/35ZR19 front, 295/30ZR19 rear. Will these fit with stock rims (2009)? Any rubbing issues? Is my rear rim wide enough for the 295s?

Any other tire suggestions? I'm looking for max forward grip. Being in California, I don't expect to drive the car on wet roads. I'll leave the car in the garage on rainy days.

Go to the 1010 tire size calculator to see the results. There are 2 issues; 1. The speedomemter difference for the front tires is too great and 2. The stock rim width is too small. I am assuming that the stock rear wheel iis either 9.5" or at best 10". You should be running at least a 10.5" wheel.

Overall diamter is .23 inches larger than stock in the rear. Speedo will be 0.886% too slow. That's less than 1mph at 100mph. Shouldn't be a problem.

Ratio from front/rear is very close to stock so I shouldn't have any traction control problems.

255/35: 26.02in
285/30: 25.73in
front/rear ratio: 1.0112

265/35: 26.30in
295/30: 25.96in
front/rear ratio: 1.0131

Agree rim diamater is a concern. Not sure if my rear rims are 9.5 or 10.0 inches. I'll pull one off tonight and check.

Only MBs - the best or nothing
Diameters are not a problem. The tire sizes you want will fit your car without any issues, BUT they will not fit stock wheels (which are 8.5f/9.5r). You will need a minimum of 9" front and 10" rear wheel widths in order for 265/35 & 295/30 tires fit properly.

Guess I need to look for some new rims if I want to try the super sports. Either that or wait until Michilen offers more sizes.

2006 SL65 ///AMG - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: 2005 E55; 2002 ML55; 2001 CLK55; 1992 BMW 850i; 1991 M5
Hijack! (not really)

I have a simolar fitment question. I live in an area where we have enough winter weather that I cannot run dedicated 'summer' tires year round. But, the selection of quality all-season ties is extremely limited in the 285/30/19 size. If I step the staggered sizes down to 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear, I have several more options, including the Pirelli P-Nero M+S (which I ran on my E55) and the new(er) Conti Sport Contact M+S (which is on the wife's ML550). Again, neither the Pirelli nor the Conti are available in 285/30/19. SO ... can I run 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear on an 06 SL65 without screwing anything up???
