03 SL55 AMG - What do I need for iPhone connectivity
Hi folks,
I just bought a sweet 2003 SL 55 AMG Brilliant Silver with Vossen wheels.
It appears there was at some point a cradle or something in the interior center console but the only thing there now is two screw holes and the imprint of whatever it was.
The MB dealer says it's $1800 for whatever it takes to do it but he's so far not provided parts numbers or exactly what I'd be getting.
I'd like to have Bluetooth or even wired connectivity into the factory system but not for $1800!
Where on the forum here might I find that info or alternatives? I've searched but don't know the brand or car well enough to "get it".

Thanks Mike! Getting new tires tomorrow and will shoot it in the next week or so. We've only had the car a few days and it's definitely a head turner with the Vossens on it.
Back to the iPhone connectivity I've sent an email to Dension to see what they have if anything. Seems like a lot of dead ends for the 2003 models.

Contact Keith Valantine at (714) 746-5930. Keith is a former MB phone installer and has the original MB Bluetooth kits. (Keith is also known as cellguy85 on ebay and has some of his MB Bluetooth kits listed there).

I spoke to Keith in detail and we have a plan. He's extraordinarily knowledgeable and personable. I live in Vegas but work in LA and he's basically in-between so we'll likely have this worked out next week.
