I just drained my Trans fluid and measured it and poured in the same amount Started car put in drive for a min then reverse for a min to allow the fluid to get picked up. I then backed out of driveway and drove around the block at 10mph then went out to the side street and thats when the ck engine light came on and the trans was slipping and it seamed to be stuck in 3rd gear. also it takes a couple of seconds to go into drive or reverse. Did I miss something.

Sounds like you are low on fluid. How accurately did you measure the fluid? Was the transmission fluid you drained and measured ambient temperature?

The flliud was cold when I drained it and cold when installed it. Had not been driven in 15-20 hours.
