SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Nearly caught.
been lousy, hardly time to put the roof down, however the other day was quite nice so I went to work with the roof down. Whilst working a guy came
in my office and said it's raining. I dashed out and luckily it was drizzling, but
the interior was quite wet, but I got a couple of towels and dried her up.
Has anybody accidental left their roof down in a storm. You are more lightly
to in California than here, but how much can it take before it's ruined.
I have always wondered.
That morning (Sunday), I drive to the dealership to check on the SL. By some rare stroke of luck, I see the owner of the dealership standing in front of my SL with a puzzled look on his face. I explained the situation and we pushed the car into his garage so it would be safe until they could look at it Monday morning. What an ordeal. It never did rain that night so I lucked out.
I wonder if there is a similar option for the R230 to close the roof, when the rain-sense wipers detect rain. Hmmmmmm
