Help. SL55 making chirping alarm type noise when turned off!
Car in garage, power off, working normally, sound is like a quiet version of an annoying alarm. Driver's side- when I lift the hood it's louder like under the fuse box area but still audible from inside the car- seemingly near parking brake.

Alarm horn is in front wheel well drivers side behind the inner wheel plastic between wheel and passenger compartment. Mine started doing this when the internals fused together. I can't remember if there was a battery for it or not but I just unplugged it. Replaced it a few months later. It is easy to get to and not to hard to get out.
