Pump replacement Question

I replaced my intercooler pump on my sl600 with one from speedriven with their heat exchanger upgrade kit and I never saw the little tiny hose that hooks up to the old pump I think has vac. I'm assuming I should have plugged the line, but I'm not sure where it connects to that would be an easier place to block it off if I need to. I haven't seen any coolant on my garage floor so I don't think I'm leaking coolant, but the last thing I want is air getting sucked into the coolant system or a vacuum leak. Thanks for any help in advance!

You do not need to worry about it. New pump does not have that extra hose - consider it as a vent for original pump.

This. It is an air expansion/ equalizing port? Not needed. It vents into the atmosphere on th stock pump.

I think the hose is used on the stock pump to purge air (via vacuum) when filling the system with water. As others state, it is not needed.

I would love to get some feedback on SpeedRiven Pump/HE too. Too shy to ask...

We did quite a few installs with no complaints so far, but what is your take ?

Igor.
