SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: SL63 (R230) or SL550 (R231)

Much appreciated, loving it so far. Not sure that I can go back to a naturally asperated ride ever again. The torque is amazing and available, it would seem, all the time.
Not missing the 991.1S so far. Doesn't hurt that I got out at the right time and basically drove the car for free for 21 months including hitting the "Tail of the Dragon" on the way home from Houston where I bought it. Was lucky enough to arrive at the Tail on a Tuesday afternoon just before Thanksgiving, 50 and overcast, so perfect weather for driving. Saw only 3 other cars the whole time. Probably the most fun I've ever had driving in my life which includes 5 years of track days from WGI to VIR. I did love the AMG but realised I want the luxary and gizmos missing from my 911. I think the AMG and Pcar would have been very similar. I did look at a 2013 AMG63 (231) but was scared off by the 56,000 miles on the clock and the trade offer on the 911 that was 6500 less than what I eventually got from another dealer....go figure. Geography plays a huge part in these deals. Bought a Macan GTS 2 summers back in N Carolina, drove it for a month and sold it to a dealer here for 2k more than I paid......I won't tell the tale about the beating I took on my Cayanne Turbo however or my 993 track car....sold in 2010 so guess the result, lol......
If you want I will reach out to the seller. He took the car off market but you never know. A word...1. it has a carfax ding...2. he is pretty firm on the price. The car is incredibly clean. Let me know if you want me to contact him.
Congrats, that's a great looking car. I'm partial to my R230 SL63 but you really can't go wrong. Also a former Porsche guy, I've owned over 20 in my lifetime and I'm sure I'll have another someday. In comparison I find the R230 and my W212 to be better assembled with higher quality materials and equally great to drive, albeit in different ways.
